Cranberries

Cranberries used to appear only around the holidays in form of jellies, cranberry sauce, or breads.
In the recent years however, many health benefits have been attributed to the small red berry with the Latin Name: Vaccinium macrocarpon.

It became well known for its many properties:
“Cranberries Rank High in Antioxidants,” anti-bilious, anti-putrid, diuretic, laxative, refrigerant, sub-astringent, vasodilator and natural pain relief. Some concider it one of the many super foods.

Some of the medical benefits are:
Cranberries can help with: Candida and other bacterial conditions, diarrhea, dropsy, fevers, scurvy, stomach ulcers, urinary tract infections (UTIs) of the bladder and urethra, urolithiasis.

Five Health Benefits of Cranberries for the Entire Body
URINARY TRACT HEALTH - Researchers have pinpointed the compound in cranberries that prevents microorganisms from adhering to cells of the urinary tract. They have what researchers call "anti-adhesion" properties that can help reduce the risk of urinary tract infections.
DENTAL HEALTH - This same "anti-adhesion" property prevents bacteria from forming in the mouth. They might reduce the formation of harmful plaque that leads to gum disease.
HEART HEALTH - Cranberry juice can reduce bad (LDL) cholesterol levels and raise levels of good (HDL) cholesterol in the blood.
ANTI-CANCER - Certain compounds in the fruit have been found to inhibit the formation of cancer cells.
ANTI-ULCER - The tannins found in cranberries can prevent the adhesion of ulcer causing bacteria in the stomach.

Have You Given a Compliment Lately?

"I can live for two months on a good compliment."

Mark Twain

Do you know what the number one need for every human being living on earth is (besides the physical needs of food, sleep, etc.)? It is recognition or acceptance. We all like to to be accepted and praised at times, and receive a compliment.
Once we accept the significance of our existence and who we really are, giving praise and edification to others is not that hard. We only need to find something good, something unique and praiseworthy about the other person and then express it.
From a friend a received this video recently, it describes more than ever what a little recognition can do for others:

Next time you see a co-worker does something extra for you or she has a new hairdo, give her a compliment. Or you meet someone new and he gives you a "real" handshake, tell him. Our world would certainly be a better place, if we paid more attention to the "niceties."

Have a Great New Year!

Are You Waiting For Your Ship to Come in

but You Are Waiting for it at the Train Station?

"The most successful people in the world look for and build networks, while everybody else just looks for work."
Robert Kiyosaki - Rich Dad, Poor Dad

The past Century has brought a lot of changes in the way we do business. After the trend that has brought many people from the rural areas to the city to work a "job," many are looking now again into being an entrepreneur.

One of the new ways of doing business was the change in retail to mass merchandising. Sam Walton with his Wal*Mart Stores brought a whole new way to the distribution of merchandise. In fact, he revolutionized it to the point where retail has shown the more successful business (over manufacturing), only surpassed by the oil industry.

The next revolution came through the introduction of franchising. Today, most fast food restaurants and some other businesses are all run by the franchising model. You can find the golden arches in Germany as well as Korea and many other exotic places. The model is so successful with its systems that many of the franchise businesses sell for over a million dollars.

One other industry is revolutionizing the economy, and that’s the networking industry. With its word-of-mouth advertising and direct distribution it can be considered the last frontier for the small entrepreneur to start from home with a low investment.
Beyond just distributing goods, this industry has also introduced intellectual distribution.

Paul Zane Pilzer, in his book, The Next Millionaires, states:
"The purpose of this book is not to talk about our society, our government or our country's or the world's economic policies. The purpose of this book is to talk about you and your life. About where our economy has been and (especially) where it's going. And most of all, about what you can do, not just to survive, but to thrive and prosper in the years ahead."

He also said:

"Direct selling not only lets you build a better business it also makes you a better entrepreneur... You only win when you help others win." He wraps it all up with a chapter on "The Spiritual Nature of Business." He has one whole chapter which addresses how to be successful as a direct seller (it is up to YOU) and how to pick a company.

Paul Zane Pilzer on the wellness and direct selling industry:

In his book, The Next Millionaires, Paul Zane Pilzer is optimistic regarding the changes in our economy. While many of the older forms of commerces are confronted with many obstacles (bail-outs, bankruptcies, etc.), Pilzer predicts the 21st Century to be known as the age of the entrepreneur, and gives us many suggestions to how we can become one of the 10 million new millionaires that this new economy will create.

By looking into an nutritional home-based business like MonaVie with the intellectual distribution system back by the TEAM, we are in the right place at the right time. This direct selling industry is teaching people how to obtain products and services that they didn't even know existed. In that way everybody can look at this industry from a new viewpoint and overcome their professional skepticism.

Things in the book to consider:
* The new millionaires are teachers not salespeople
* They will create a huge new business opportunity for themselves
* Wealth was once created by people who made things (manufacturers)
* New wealth is now being created by people who distribute things (Network Marketers)
* Physical distribution (of goods) is out ... intellectual distribution is in
* Intellectual distribution is teaching people that the goods exist and how they benefit them

Pilzer's years of experience as an entrepreneur and employer, make him uniquely qualified to explain how to find your place in the new economy and your pathway to becoming one of The Next Millionaires. His perspective certainly will show you how you can be at right time at the right place to welcome your ship come in.

GOD LOVES ME

Today is the holiday of holidays where we honor God. He deserves our very best attention by celebrating this first day of the New Year.

It’s been my tradition for the past 35 years to celebrate the first day of the New Year and dedicate it to God.

The beginning of the New Year is a good time review my core beliefs. I believe in God, and therefore, it is important for me to understand the nature of God.

* God is our parent.
This nature is kind, patient, and unconditionally loving (1 Cor. 13:4-13). As defined in these bible verses, God loves us, and more importantly, GOD LOVES ME.
* God is invisible.
Rom 1:20 states: Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
Just as I can’t see the wind, I can feel its effects, brushing against my skin, or moving through the trees.
* God exists in duality.
This duality appears all over creation and is expressed in male and female attributes on the higher creation such as man and animals, and in positive and negative (yin and yang) in the rest of the material world, such as atoms and molecules.
The other duality is expressed through internal and external natures such as man’s mind and body, and the rest of creation being directed by instinct and an inherent directive nature (intelligence) which makes a corn cornel grow into a cornstalk, or an apple pit into an apple tree.
* God is eternal, unchanging, and absolute.
In today’s world everything seems to be relative. None-the-less, there is an absolute standard of truth which is the same in Hong Kong, or Berlin, Germany or in New York. This truth applies the same for Buddhists, Jews or Christians.
* God is the source of goodness, justice (mercy) and freedom.
I grew up in Communist East Germany where there was no freedom and certainly only the justice of the socialist government. The reason: it was an atheistic regime.
* God reigns through law, order, and principle.
If I believe in spiritual principles or not, they still affect our lives. Most people don’t think about this until they near the end of their lives and take their last breath.
Scientists like Andrew Newberg have now discovered that man is hard-wired to belief in God and that our brain changes under certain activities such as prayer, meditation or other spiritual rituals.

During these times of upheaval we would fare much better if we turn our lives over to the all-knowing and loving Father who sure has a solution for all of our troubles. In this way, all these economic breakdown, could turn out to be blessing. When everything goes well, people forget about God, but in times of struggle, there is a window-of-opportunity for God to reach us.

Let's make the new year one where we can be the change we are all looking for.

Here is my New Year’s resolution:

Trust in God with all my heart, spirit and soul.

Affirmation: I am my true, original, illuminated and authentic self.
